Project Description
Replacement of the perimeter field fencing and backstops at Champion Fields. Fencing would be replaced with a more aesthetically pleasing black vinyl. The backstops could potentially be replaced by black netting. This is the standard in many newer baseball softball complexes to allow for a better viewing experience for spectators. The update would keep us competitive with newer facilities for USA Softball other sports tourism events. This replacement could be split into two phases for the east and west fields. Replacement is scheduled for FY2026-27 or FY2027-28. By this time, fencing will be 30 years old.
